How would i convince my dad to let me pay for my own cell phone plan?

Clinton Quant: The only problem I see with this , is the phone would still have to be in your Dad's name since you have to be 18 to legally sign a contract. If he won't go for you changing carriers then just buy a different phone for the carrier you are on now. Check your current one and see if you can flash a Motorola Triumph over to the current phone provider you use. A lot of phones you can do that with, generally it cost about $25 to do so. Plus whatever the phone cost.
