Do DVRs play DVDs, too???

Cristopher Gavalis: No. It plays VHS and Betamax tapes.

Corey Rohleder: No they are not. Their primary function is to record live tv for replay.

Sharie Sommerville: I have TiVo, and mine doesn't play DVDs, but I think some other DVR (digital video recorders) makers are coming out with ones that play DVDs. Check at a place like Best Buy or Circuit City and see if they have ones that play DVDs also.

Eldridge Rieves: No they are not DVD players. But that is a good idea though.

Boyce Gilhooly: There are a few models that have DVD players built in. Like one from LG that is a DVD player/recorder, a DVR.It is the LRM-519.Check it out here.http://us.lge.com/products/model/detail/tv|audio|v...

Coleen Carignan: they do, don't worry, I thought that as wellmine takes a little longer to play them, but you get used to it lol
