Vegans how long have you been?

Merna Fauset: I've been a vegan for about six months. It took me about nine months to switch from vegetarian to vegan. Since I stopped eating meat (after eating it for 14 years), it took me about two years to go full vegan. I don't follow raw veganism, so it's not an integral part of veganism, but it's a valid decision.

Hunter Beech: Well im a vegan and the best way to get protien is through nuts and berrys and stuff like that and bannas are a great source of protien, just look up on the net and you will see how many vegies and fruts have protien in them and well if you still eat eggs I dont but if you do theres some protien in that. Good Luck

Raelene Cunnick: no."Supposed" is a regional word- it might be true in Salem Oregon, but in India, it's not.IT's a myth. Even if there is in iota of science behind this supposition, it will no doubt be the result of some pointless medical study that bored scientists created when they could have been doing something else! with your tax money....Show more

Noah Deni: Many vegetarians opt to enjoy the wholesome goodness of carrots for their fiber and protein needs. Carrots are loaded with protein, fiber and cure most ailments.

Dorris Homola: I have been vegetarian for 4 years now and I would never consider eating meat again. I couldn't s! tand the fact that I was eating innocent creatures. I've considered heavily becoming vegan but cows aren't being hurt by giving their milk, so I'm okay on that one for now.

Kizzy Hett: Beans, nuts, and lentils give you both in huge amounts. Peas are a good easy source of fiber, and they have some protein.Dark chocolate also gives you enough fiber to have an excuse to eat it all the time (usually like 3 grams a bar).

Dewey Heersink: I was a vegan since I was eight, and am 12 now. It took me like a few days.

Maria Bengston: there is not any conclusive data that it fairly is the case, even although many vegans declare that it fairly is. There are vegans, vegetarians and meat-eaters who've lived to a ripe previous age; there are additionally vegans, vegetarians and meat-eaters who've died at a youthful than common age because of the fact of affliction. i'm a vegan; because of the fact I fairly have had maximum cancers and am diabetic, i've got not got any sen! sible expectancies of living into previous age (i'm at the instant fift! y six|), although i'd. @ $0.02: 'veganism basically started in the Nineteen Forties'. Jayson Brod: Been, since around 1989.Took me a couple weeks to go from typical N. American diet, to one without any animal products (i.e. vegan).I like the idea of eating as much raw food as possible, as that is what is naturally our diet. Sounds silly, but think about it, what other animal or creature eats cooked food? Nobody but humans. Humans do a lot of things exclusively....Show more

Oda Mauson: I've been vegetarian since I was about 11 years old. I went vegetarian for ethical reasons/animals abuse videos I saw online, including "Meet Your Meat." I went vegetarian over a peri! od of about 3-4 months, slowly phasing out my meat consumption, with my parents' permission. I then went vegan about a year later, in the same manner, slowly phasing out dairy and eggs. I'm now 18 and still vegan - couldn't be happier and I can never see myself going back to an animal-product-based diet. I eat raw food when I can because I realize it's healthier, but it's not always available....Show more

Jon Bergmeier: 3 yearsI never went vegetarian first I just went straight vegan.I did it overnight, most people do it slowly but I pretty much stopped outright.Vegans who promote raw are known as raw foodists or vegans. Not all vegans subscribe to this way of thinking, I would find it far too limiting.

Neville Dautremont: I'm a vegetarian, so to get my fiber, I eat vegetables xD and to get protein I usually eat dairy products like milk, cheese and yogurt as well as nuts. But be careful because nuts have a lot of fat in them.

Gene Debell: they each provide ! a different blend of nutrients and that is why a variety of both highly! recommended by nutritionists and dietitians.

Raul Tllo: I ate meat until I was 15. I became vegetarian overnight and was vegetarian from 15 to 19. Then I became vegan overnight and its been a year. Vegans don't necessarily promote eating only raw foods, but usually when you're vegan you a lot of raw food (vegetables and fruits).

Freeman Rutkin: Here are top 4 sources for protein: 1. Beans and rice 2. Milk 3. Whey 4. Pulses

Agustina Stimmel: oh and btw i dont eat eggs, but ill eat stuff that has eggs in it... just not eggs plain. and that's mainly because i dont like them.

Torrie Weissenbach: Make Over 200 Juicy, Mouth-Watering Paleo Recipes You've NEVER Seen or Tasted Before?

Jonie Lauria: since the point of a vegetarian diet is veggies, you shouldn't have to worry about fiber at all as long as you are eating veggies. For protein just eat nuts, beans and soy and you'll be fine

Joie Kemmis: I became vegetarian when I was 10, before tha! t I only ate chicken. I am now 20, and became vegan 2 months ago. I think eating only raw foods is quite healthy, but it does take some time to transition into.

Arlen Hamper: you could get vitamins but it's not really necessary. I'm a vegetarian too btw. I get protein from nuts and beans and stuff (like peanut butter and stuff too). You can get B-12 from mushrooms. And your fiber won't change with being vegetarian but if you want to get fiber you can get it from whole-wheat bread, fruits and vegetables, and stuff like flax seed. But not a whole lot of fiber in meat so it definitely wasn't your main source of it.Also help me with my question plz:http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AqBrg......Show more

Bernie Cerra: Does anyone know good low fat vegetarian recipes! ? I need it to be simple, and not have tons of ingredients. Also, I don't care for beans at all, I know being a vegetarian I'm supposed to like beans, but I just don't :) Thanks everyone!

Tereasa Sorensen: all food has protein so as long as you get enough calories you should get enough protein and as a vegetarian if you eat healthy(vegetables) then you get enough fiber as well.Try tracking your stuff on nutritiondata.com its a great tool to track things like protein calories and other...

Ty Kirton: is so, why?

Tamatha Neubaum: Indian Vegetarian recipes (fatfree / low fat) http://www.fatfreekitchen.com/

Pattie Vold: When I was in 7th grade (about 9 years ago), I went vegetarian for about a year. After that, I started to eat meat again but I would go through periods where I wouldn't eat meat. In 2007, I became a vegetarian again, until I started reading stuff on PETA's website about dairy and eggs. Then I wanted to immediately become a vegan, which! I think I did pretty much overnight. I have heard from several people, though, that you should make a slow transition between vegetarianism and veganism, or else you might get sick because you're body may need time to adjust. Not all vegans promote the idea of eating only raw foods, but there are several raw-food vegans that do. I read somewhere that you need to have a balance between raw and cooked foods. I can't remember examples right now (sorry...), but some foods release different, important nutrients that you need after being cooked, which they do not release when raw....Show more

Jade Ohno: i have just recently decided to become a veg... i was wondering if there's like vitamins or something i can take to get protein.

Gladys Worthing: hum, exactly what are you trying to get at?what recipes are high in fats when it comes to vegetarian?i'm a vegetarian and all my meals are low in fat... i'm not sure where you're getting at?are you one of those 'vegetarians! Mee Blumenfeld: I've been vegan for ten years. I was vegetarian before that for a few years. I just went vegan one day immediately, but that might not work for everyone. Some vegans eat only raw, but that is more about heath. I am not a raw food person, but I do try and incorporate plenty of fresh fruits and veggies in my diet.
