Jose Bouliouris: Not clear if you mean to buy advertising to advertise your website or you mean to sell advertising on your website - clearly if latter they will need to be in synch with your non-profit aims. What sort of demand is there, what are people paying know? What will you allow (banners/promotions)? Try and gather such informaiton and that will help make an informed decision
Sol Bayn: Have you considered going to someone like Azoogle or Commission Junction and looking for ads in your niche. You will probably get paid more on CPA (cost per action) type ads rather than CPC (cost per click). You would then have more control over what ads are being shown and a regular supply rather than waiting on the vauguries of the ads of others.
