Majoring in Humanities?

Wilfredo Muldoon: Have you ever considered Social Work. High ranking social workers can be payed upwards of £100,000 a year ($150,000) however the job is not so rigid that you can't raise a family around it. I have worked in social work for over 30 years and have a son and family in a comfortable home. The work is not particularly difficult, although you do need a certain level of dedication. Also, Social Work can be done with a 6 month to 1 year conversion course, meaning you could study a humanity at university, have it still come in handy in later life, and do a short course into a job. Valentine Willinger: Why would you be a terrible teacher?If you love the humanities, and excel at them, why would you be a terrible English or History teacher?You could consider law. There is not math on the LSAT. There is none in law school. This comes with a caveat, as there are currently a glut of attorneys on the market. The main complaint I've heard! from recent law school grads isn't that they can't find any job, but can't find one that pays enough to repay the student loan debt amassed through such an extensive education.
